Stringing Policy – What You Need to Know

 

Before We Get Started

We want your racket to perform at its best, so we give every one a quick visual check before stringing. If we spot any cracks or damage to the frame, we’ll let you know right away and return it unstrung with no charge.

To make sure your racket stays safe and performs well, we stick to the tension range recommended by the manufacturer. We’re not able to string outside those limits.

We don’t offer single string repairs, only full restrings.

All rackets will be stencilled with the manufactures logo, free of charge, unless specifically requested to not be.

Looking After Your Racket

We take great care when stringing your racket, but because frames can be unpredictable — especially older or already weakened ones — we can’t guarantee against breakage. Rackets are restrung at your own risk and we’re not able to take responsibility for any damage that may happen during the process.

Got Your Own String?

You’re welcome to supply your own string if you prefer! There’s just a £12 labour charge for the restring.

A couple of things to keep in mind:

  • If your string breaks after we’ve strung it, we unfortunately can’t take responsibility.

  • If the string you provide isn’t long enough to complete the job, we’ll let you know and offer an alternative from our selection, priced according to our usual rates.

Drop-Off Points

We’ve got convenient drop-off and pick-up points available:

  • Wessex Squash Club, Dowling Street, Swindon, SN1 5QZ (By appointment only)

  • StringMyRacket, 1 White Eagle Road, Swindon, SN25 1TN 1TN (By appointment only)

Both of these locations are not always permanently manned so all drop-off’s need to be arranged with us beforehand.

Please note that items left at drop-off locations are at your own risk — we’re not able to cover any loss or damage.

Postal Service

At the moment, we don’t offer a postal stringing service but this is something we are looking in to providing in the future.

Payment Info

Once your racket is freshly strung and ready to go, we’ll send you a payment link. Once payment is complete, you can collect your racket.
We only accept digital payments — no cash, please!

Guarantee & Refunds

We aim to provide a great service every time but because of the nature of stringing, we don’t offer guarantees or refunds of any kind.
